Background

Season Of The Witch is an adventure horror film starring Nicolas Cage set during the crusades with witchcraft and swordplay central to the plot. To convey a sense of scale and drama the foreground fire effects and large areas of the background were extensively retouched. I added an extra witchcraft element by researching the symbology used during the crusades. This became the reference for the runes and symbols that were composited into the embers of the flames.
